Avoiding Frozen Pipes: Weatherization Workshop

December 13, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - January 10, 2023 @ 7:00 pm

Free
Avoiding Frozen Pipes
When a water pipe freezes inside your home, it can cause thousands of dollars in damages!  Learn how and why pipes freeze, how to prevent pipes from freezing, and what you can do if you realize your pipes have frozen .
This workshop will be primarily offered as a free, in-person, hands-on workshop, giving participants opportunity to work with common plumbing materials and fixtures. The workshop can also be viewed on the Community Homeworks facebook page and YouTube channel, but will be lacking the hands-on experience. Questions from the audience are always encouraged! Donations are encouraged at www.communityhomeworks.org/donate.
This Green Living Series Weatherization workshop is made possible by a generous grant from the Kalamazoo Community Foundation’s Love where you Live: Environment Fund.  Thank you for your support.

Community Homeworks is a non-profit home repair and maintenance organization located in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a mission to “Empower our low-income neighbors to maintain safe, sustainable, and dignified homes.”  Donate now to support our programs!
