Wood Window Repairs and Maintenance Workshop (Part 1)
July 25, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
Did you know, properly maintained wood windows can last well over 100 years while vinyl replacement windows only last 20-25 years? And those old wood windows can be just as efficient as replacement windows! Wood windows require special care and maintenance to work smoothly and efficiently, but you can maintain them yourself! Join us for a special 2 part hands-on DIY workshop to learn how to correct common wood window issues to help your windows last for many more years! On July 25 we will learn how to take our windows apart to repaint, weatherize, and replace sash cords and pulleys. On Aug 8, we will learn how to replace broken glass, reglaze, and make other common repairs.
This free, hands-on empowerment workshop is held at our Education Center, 812 Bryant Street, Kalamazoo. Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend or meet new friends at the workshop! Registration is encouraged to ensure we have enough seating and materials available. The workshop is also broadcast live online on
 YouTube and
 Facebook without the hands-on experience.
