Understanding Electrical Systems

There is so much happening inside the walls of our homes that we can’t see!  Learn how electricity gets into your home, how it travels to the different rooms, how a light switch and electrical outlet work, and what you need to know to prevent electrical fires and shocks in the home!

This FREE, hands-on workshop will take place in the Community Homeworks Education Center, 812 Bryant Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.  Registration and masks are required. (Register at the bottom of this page or by calling 269-998-3275 ext 205 and leaving a message.)

The workshop can also be viewed live on our Community Homeworks Facebook Live page or YouTube channel.  Please note: online workshops are not hands-on.

Community Homeworks is a non-profit home repair and maintenance organization located in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a mission to “Empower our low-income neighbors to maintain safe, sustainable, and dignified homes.”  Donate now to support our programs!
