It’s always best to call and discuss your home’s issue with our Programs Assistant. We prioritize our work by degree of urgency and the resources we have for projects. Depending on the issue, in some cases, we can visit your home to assess the situation before you apply. Our Programs Assistant can also connect you with community resources.

Note: The geographic area we serve largely depends on available funds. We primarily work within the city limits of Kalamazoo, and sometimes have funding for projects outside the city but within Kalamazoo County.

The Critical Repair Program offers affordable repair services to stabilize home conditions. Repairs are prioritized based on greatest threat to health and safety.

The Weatherization & Energy Efficiency Program offers families long term utility savings and a healthier home environment.

We do not provide any of the following types of services:

  • Cosmetic  or “home improvement” projects such as painting, general plaster or drywall, replacement windows, or landscaping
  • Main electrical service upgrades unless it poses an immediate hazard

This program is offered in partnership with the City of Kalamazoo.

This program could include the following:
